Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimarao Ramji Ambedkar was born on 7th April, in a Maha family, considered to be a common minority, in Mahu, Madhya Pradesh [3] (Central Provinces at that time). His father's name was Ramji Maloji Sakpal and his mother's name was Bhimabai. Bhimarao Ambedkar was the last of Ramji Sakpal's fourteen children. Bhimarao's father was a subedar in the military. He was the Head Master in the Army School. From a young age, the child's parents rushed to Bhimarao. When Bhimarao was 8 years old, his mother Bhimabai died.
